Executive General Adjuster (EGA)
The Executive General Adjuster (EGA) course is a 40-hour advanced training course designed for highly experienced insurance professionals seeking to refine their expertise in global, national, and regional claims handling. Tailored for an executive-level audience, this course provides an in-depth exploration of advanced adjusting techniques, legal frameworks, and industry best practices across multiple jurisdictions. Participants will gain specialized knowledge in international insurance practices, with a particular emphasis on British insurance laws and regulations, alongside comprehensive strategies for managing high-value and complex claims.
The program covers five key chapters, including global and regional insurance practices, advanced policy interpretation, executive-level claims management, and specialized catastrophe adjusting techniques. Participants will explore real-world case studies, jurisdictional precedents, and emerging trends in insurance claims management. Emphasis is placed on negotiating large-loss settlements, handling business interruption claims, and mitigating risk in complex multi-party disputes. Additionally, the course delves into technological advancements in claims adjusting, providing insights into Insurtech innovations, data analytics, and AI-driven claims management.
To qualify for enrollment, students must have a minimum of 12 years of experience as an insurance adjuster, a valid license in good standing (where applicable), and a history of handling at least 1,200 claims across nine or more U.S. states, territories, or international jurisdictions. Additionally, participants must complete the National Insurance Institute’s Ethics for Insurance Professionals course. Upon passing the final 50-question examination with a score of 80% or higher, participants will earn the Executive General Adjuster (EGA) designation, signifying expertise in global claims management, strategic risk assessment, and executive-level adjusting techniques.
